There were a few directions this interview could have been focused in the final edit. I chose to bring together elements that embody the sweat, tears and frustrations of farming life, and how they shape those who fill the shoes of a farmer.

Remembering the advise I received at a recent meeting, I transcribed all 45 minutes of the interview before attempting the edit. It takes a while to listen to and type the content, but no where near as long as it would have taken me had I not done so. It makes choosing edit points so much easier. A great tip for your next interview project!
